Clos Fourtet是波爾多Saint-Emilion產區的著名頂級酒莊(1er Grand Cru Classé B)。本酒莊所在地在中世紀時稱為 “Camp Fourtet”,是負責保護Saint-Emilion的堡壘。這個莊園在18世紀逐漸變成著名的酒莊,然後在1868年改為現在的名字Clos Fourtet。在20世紀它曾經陸續為大酒商家族所擁有:先是Ginestet家族,然後是Lurton家族;不過在他們的經營下,本酒莊的表現只能說是中規中矩。2001年現在的莊主Philippe Cuvelier買下本酒莊,並且請到極有名的Stéphane Derenoncourt來擔任釀酒顧問,Derenoncourt同時也是Pavie Macquin、Canon La Gaffelière、Clos de L'Oratoire、La Gaffelière、Beauséjour Duffau 、Rol Valentin、Smith Haut Lafitte、Les Carmes Haut Brion、Prieuré Lichine等眾多頂尖酒莊的釀酒師或釀酒顧問;在他的指導之下,酒質很明顯地有突飛猛進的進步,2009年份甚至獲得Robert Parker給予100滿分的評價!
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Clos Fourtet is profoundly scented of baked blackberries, plum preserves, mulberries and kirsch with hints of cedar chest, iron ore and tapenade plus a waft of smoked meats. Medium-bodied, the palate is laden with earthy/savory nuances, supported by finely grained tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long and earthy. The blend is 90% Merlot,7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 16 months in french oak barrels, 60% new.
