Tasting note: A background application of menthol nuance is apparent on the red cherry, floral, wild berry and sauvage-scented aromas. The sense of underlying tension and vibrancy of the intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors is almost irresistible as is the outstanding complexity, balance and sheer class of the finish. This strikingly long and very serious effort is harmonious and sophisticated and is a wine that should amply repay extended cellaring. In short, this is first-rate.
