波爾多Sauternes產區的Chateau Rieussec，與大名鼎鼎的五大酒莊之一的Chateau Lafite Rothschild同屬顯赫的猶太裔Rothschild家族的產業。Rieussec在18世紀的時候是the Carmes de Langon修道院所有，大革命時期被充公拍賣，才開始成為私人產業。1855年的頂級酒莊分級時，將本酒莊列於Sauternes的一級酒莊，可見當時它在市場上已經有非常高的聲譽。
Chateau Rieussec位於Sauternes的中心精華地帶，緊鄰Chteau d’Yquem的東邊，在排水良好的坡地上。佔地93公頃的葡萄園種植的品種以Sémillon(90%)為主力，再搭配合少量的Sauvignon Blanc (7%)和 Muscadelle (3%)。在Rothschild家族接手後，他們採用更嚴格的釀酒標準：葡萄被留置在樹上等待的時間更久(意謂更濃縮)，分為更多次採收，並且使用可能多達120人的採收大隊更小心仔細地慎選葡萄，整個收成工作需時長達6到8週；從2000年份起，所有的酒都在橡木桶中進行發酵和熟成，而且這些橡木桶都是來自Rothschild家自家的桶廠，不過是較淺程度的烘烤。
我們可以說，在Rothschild家族的手上Chateau Rieussec被提昇到前所未有的高點。Robert Parker在他的波爾多專書中，大力稱讚本酒莊是波爾多貴腐甜酒的六大酒莊之一。
A blend of 83% Semillon and 17% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2017 Rieussec is pale to medium lemon-gold colored. To begin, the nose blows you away with intense lemon tart, lime cordial, mango and quince notes followed by a second wave of floral, orange blossoms and honeysuckle scents, and then notes of crushed rocks, crème caramel and marzipan join the party. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is still very tightly wound with concentrated sweetness and a racy backbone to match, delivering layer upon layer of citrus and savory flavors, finishing on a persistent mineral note.
