Tasting note: A gentle touch of wood sets off the attractive spicy black cherry and wild red berry fruit nose. There is excellent richness to the relatively full-bodied flavors that possess a beguiling texture that caresses the palate on the firm and dusty but well-balanced finish. As Chambolle 1ers go, this is more powerful than is typical.
