Tasting note: This is also notably ripe with its well-layered nose of roasted plum, cassis, black cherry and discreet spice nuances. There is good verve and detail to the softly mineral-infused flavors that exude a beguiling inner mouth perfume, all wrapped in a dusty, cool, balanced and restrained finish. This is an interesting wine as it contrasts a suave mid-palate against a compact, firm and borderline rustic finish. I suspect that as the tannins resolve the sense of refinement will be concomitantly enhanced.
