Château Larrivet Haut-Brion是波爾多Graves產區中的精華區Pessac-Léognan的知名酒莊，早在1840年已經有文獻記載它是本區的頂尖酒莊之一；1898年出版的波爾多葡萄酒專書"Bordeaux and its Wines"也將本酒莊評為Graves產區的卓越酒莊。它的名稱曾經更改多次，1949年才被當時的莊主Jacques Guillemaud更名為現在的Château Larrivet Haut-Brion。
可惜本酒莊在20世紀初中期進入低潮期，因此在1950年代Graves產區的頂級酒莊評選時，本酒莊很遺憾地未能入列。1987年Larrivet Haut-Brion被Gervoson家族收購，開始著手重整本酒莊。短短幾年內，由於新種植的土地和收購附近的葡萄園，目前葡萄園的面積已達到72.5公頃 – 包含11.5公頃的白葡萄（80% Sauvignon Blanc 和 20% Sémillon）和61公頃的紅葡萄（50% Merlot、45% Cabernet Sauvignon和5% Cabernet Franc）。
在積極進取的釀酒團隊的協助下，本酒莊持續進行設施的現代化，和基於詳細的土壤調查進行重整葡萄園，並生產出具有獨特風格和優雅特色的優質葡萄酒。憑藉豐富的專業知識和抱負，Bruno Lemoine從2007年起擔任了Larrivet Haut-Brion的總經理兼釀酒師職位，而2009年莊主的三個女兒之一Emilie Gervoson也加入經營團隊，兩人三腳的合作並相輔相成，這也給酒莊帶來了向上提升的重要新動力。從大約2004年左右開始已經可以看到本酒莊大力整頓的成效。本酒莊的紅白酒現在被愛酒人士視為Pessac-Léognan性價比最優異酒莊之一。

Tasted blind at the Southwold 2012 tasting. The 2012 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc felt as if it was burdened with too much new oak on the nose, though underneath lie some attractive citrus fruit mixed with peach and apricot skin. I will be optimistic and opine that the oak will be subsumed as long as it is afforded two or three years of cellaring. The palate is well balanced, the new oak lending creaminess and a slight nuttiness - indeed, blind you might almost mistake it for a Meursault. Partly it is because of the new oak, but I can still see how this has wide appeal and you end up being seduced. Tasted January 2016.
