Tasting note: Hints of menthol and wood frame the very spicy aromas of violet, dark currant, leather and a hint of game. There is again fine volume to the even more mineral-driven flavors that are also markedly powerful and muscular on the slightly more complex and more persistent finale. This is at once succulent but austere and is a wine that's going to require extended patience if you wish to see it at its peak.
