Maison Philippe Pacalet 2015 Ruchottes-Chambertin
Grand Cru Red barrel

Tasting note: A conspicuously spicy, floral and sauvage-inflected nose displays a notably ripe yet wonderfully fresh combination of red currant and dark raspberries. The rich, intense, sleekly muscular and overtly mineral-driven flavors culminate in a youthfully austere, backward and hugely long finish. This is very Gevrey in style and be aware that this will need extended cellaring as it's definitely very firmly structured.
