現在本公司是由第8代的Michel Chapoutier負責經營管理。他從1989年接掌公司之後,施行了許多創新改革,使本公司的品質和聲譽都達到高峰。早在1995年他就導入生物動力法來管理葡萄園,在裝瓶前不進行澄清和過濾,使其產品表現出更好的架構和優雅。1996年開始又有另一創舉:在酒標上加上盲人點字,不僅方便了視障飲用者,也使其酒標有獨特風格而達到話題行銷的附加效益。
Chapoutier’s 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape Croix de Bois is gorgeous, and while I’ve always preferred the Barbe Rac to this cuvee, I think the quality between the two is neck and neck. A blend of 100% Grenache that was vinified and aged all in concrete, this naked, raw expression of the variety gives up classic jammy dark fruits, toasted bread, garrigue, red licorice and sweet spice on the nose. Silky, refined and elegant, yet with full-bodied richness and tons of character, it’s a knockout bottle of Grenache to drink anytime over the coming 5-7 years.
