1967年一位Aimé Sabon先生在退伍後接手了父親和岳父的葡萄園，並在1973年創立了嘉納斯酒莊(Domaine de la Janasse)。Aimé的兒子Christophe於1991年在攻讀釀造學科畢業後便加入家族事業；而Christophe的妹妹Isabelle在讀完釀酒科系後也於2001年加入團隊。所以目前Aimé自己從事管理葡萄園的工作，而釀造和行銷則交由兄妹負責。經過短短二、三十年本酒莊已躍然成為法國南隆河最知名葡萄生產者之一，尤其Christophe兄妹加入經營團隊後，整體水準有非常顯著的提升。
目前本酒莊擁有50公頃的葡萄園，包含多個不同的法定產區：Châteauneuf du Pâpe、Côtes du Rhône和Côtes du Rhône Village，同時也有地區餐酒Vin de Pays de la Principauté d'Orange和Vin de Table。酒評家Robert Parker曾讚譽本酒莊是Châteauneuf du Pâpe最好的酒莊之一：“Over the last decade Domaine de la Janasse has become one of the half dozen or so finest estates in Chateauneuf du Pape.”。 Châteauneuf du Pâpe是Janasse最膾炙人口的產品，以濃郁飽滿卻又細緻優雅的風格虜獲全世界酒迷的喜愛；其中Chaupin是由100% Grenache釀造，使用了其中包括近百年的老樹果實，極為量少珍貴。

A step up on the richness scale over the classic cuvee, the 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Chaupin is as sexy a Grenache as you’ll find in the vintage. Blackberry liqueur, black cherries, olives, crushed flowers and licorice all emerge from this beauty, and it hits the palate with a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet, resolved tannin and a great finish. This blossoms with time in the glass and will continue drinking beautifully for 4-6 years.
