Tasting note: A super-fresh and spicy nose offers up a tantalizingly layered mix of ripe dark berries, sandalwood and exotic Asian-style tea aromas. The sleek, rich and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that also coat the palate with an abundance of dry extract that simultaneously serves to buffer the very firm tannic spine that shapes the tight, compact and focused finale that demonstrates stunningly good length. Once again this is clearly going to need an extended stay in a cool cellar but it should be well worth the wait.
