Tasting note: Some bricking. This is ripe, animale and notably spicy with ample earth influence transitioning into big, rich and quite powerful full-bodied flavors supported by moderately aggressive finishing tannins on the acceptably long finale. As with any number of 1990s, the tannins display a subtle greenness and in sum, this is marked by the vintage and lacks the overall balance of the best here. Even though this will endure for another 50 years, I would be drinking this now and over the next decade as it very much risks drying out with additional bottle age.
