Drink: Try from 2022+
Tasting note: There is a whiff of tropical character to the still ultra-fresh and quite spicy aromas of citrus, white peach and lychee nut-scented nose. Consistent with the nose, there is excellent energy and delineation to the stony middle weight flavors that possess the hallmark elegance of a fine Genevrières, all wrapped in a clean, dry and crisp finish where the citrus character reappears. This is a model of grace and harmony yet one with good punch and about the only nit is a hint of backend warmth. For my taste this is still on the way up and while it wouldn't be a shame to open a bottle now, this beauty clearly possesses additional development potential.
The 2010 Meursault Genevrieres flows with high-toned Mirabelle plums and apricots, then fleshes out nicely on the mid-palate, showing off its depth and inner perfume. The Genevrieres is classy, elegant and impeccably refined from start to finish. Anticipated maturity: 2016+.
