Tasting note: Mildly toasty aromas are comprised by notes of a beautiful array of spice elements, poached plum, cassis and floral hints that include rose petal and violet. There is a lovely sleekness to the intense, delicious and strikingly textured big-bodied flavors that are caressing yet powerful and muscular on the saline-inflected, very firm and gorgeously persistent finale. This is very classy and a wine that should easily repay 12 to 15 years of cellar time.
