Domaine Vincent Girardin 2014 Meursault "Les Perrières"
1er Cru White barrel
Score: 89-92
Tasted: Jun 15, 2016
Drink: 2021+
Issue: 63
Tasting note: Firm reduction renders the nose difficult to evaluate. Otherwise there is admirably good concentration to the refined flavors that exhibit plenty of minerality on the mouth coating, intense and long finish where a hint of bitter lemon arises. This very classy effort can't quite match the complexity of the Genevrières though the underlying material is such that more will probably develop if allowed sufficient time.
