Tasting note: (with thanks to Robert Bookman). The first hints of bricking are now in evidence as are the initial hints of secondary aromas nuanced by distinct notes of earth and underbrush along with subtle spice notes that continue onto the rich, delicious and solidly concentrated flavors (in the context of the vintage) that culminate in a delicious, lingering and sappy finish where an attractive touch of minerality surfaces. This is still quite vibrant if no longer exactly youthful and I would be inclined to hold it for another 2 to 4 years though note that with 30 minutes of aeration, it would not be infanticide to open one. In sum, excellent quality for its level.
