Tasting note: As good as the Lafon '94s are in general, the Perrières does not outperform though to be certain, it is still a fine effort with fully mature and nicely complex botrytis-infused aromas that are followed by generous, rich and relatively round flavors that deliver good if not exceptional depth and length. The hallmark minerality is present and the flavors are clean with only a trace of the exotic. In short, this is a very solid effort for the vintage that continues to drink well though I would be looking for reasons to drink up over the next few years as a slow decline is on the horizon. Tasted several times with largely, if not completely, consistent results.
