Chateau Haut-Beauséjour位於波爾多的精華產區之一的St Estephe村，旗下擁有46英畝的葡萄園。香檳名門Louis Roederer在1992年將它購置下來，並且逐步更新酒莊和葡萄園的設備，使其水準大幅提高。2003年官方公布的中級酒莊名單中，它亦被列在Cru Bourgeois名單上。
Louis Roederer接掌本酒莊之後，也對釀酒製程做了大幅的整頓，讓品質提升許多，像人工篩選葡萄、疏葉疏果、增加Merlot種植比例，以及新橡木桶的使用比例。現在本酒莊的風格是濃郁又不失圓潤，年輕時即可飲用，但是也有不錯的陳年能力。
它的色澤呈現漂亮的深紅帶紫。聞起來有怡人的覆盆子、黑莓之類的豐富水果香氣，和些許菸草、燒烤的氣味。酒質均衡柔順又活潑，甜美圓熟的果味讓口感非常討喜，但是也有很良好的單寧結構，提供了陳年的潛力，經過適當陳年會更加美味。

“We got a lot more rain here in Saint-Estèphe, so we had some dilution, especially on the soils with more clay in them,” winemaker Nicolas Glumineau (also of Pichon Lalande) mentioned. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Haut Beausejour is a little closed on the nose, opening out to pure plums and crushed blueberries notes with touches of tilled soil, tapenade and lavender. The palate is medium-bodied and firm with finely grained tannins and lovely freshness in the mouth, finishing on a mineral note.
