品質葡萄酒的信念,在現今已超過三百間酒廠的那帕山谷中，估有舉足輕重的地位。1961年,Joe & Alice Heitz夫妻買下了聖海倫娜方8英的小巧葡萄園，創建了自己的酒廠也開啟了海氏酒廠(Heitz Wine Cellar)的傳奇。
如今，海氏酒廠的瑪莎園(Martha's Vineyard與特雷賽園(Trailside Vineyard等旗款已成為那帕山谷的美麗傳說。 馬莎園(Martha's Vineyard)2016年份則是在Wine Spectator 2021百大酒款中勇奪全球第三名的好成績,海氏酒廠不間断的優異品質,全球有目共睹。
海氏酒廠目前擁有約 1,100 英畝的葡萄園 ,年產量約40,000 箱 , 其中包含位於那帕山谷中心位置約425 英畝 , 如瑪莎園 (Martha's Vineyard)、特雷賽園 (Trailside Vineyard) 與 Ink Grade Vineyards 等知名單一葡萄園等 . 葡萄園種植採取有機耕作 甚至採用太陽能發電 以維護自然生態的永續經營。

The 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard reveals a garnet color, with some amber just beginning to appear at the rim. Although uncomplex, the nose offers sweet, curranty fruit, and damp, earthy, foresty aromas. The wine's attack reveals sweet, full-bodied, cherry and black fruit flavors, and a robust, concentrated finish. The coarse, astringent tannin kept my score from going higher. This could still turn out to be an outstanding wine, but the thick, juicy fruit it exhibited in its youth appears to have quickly taken a back seat to the wine's structural components ... acidity and tannin. It can be drunk or cellared for another 10-15+ years. This wine was less impressive than when I first tasted it.
The tasting notes for this section are from two single blind tastings, one conducted in May, 1996, in California, and the other in June, 1996, in Baltimore.
