Tasting note: An overtly spicy and super fresh nose that is showing only the initial traces of age combines notes of both red and blue pinot fruit with those of violet, plum and tea. The wonderfully rich, seductively textured and caressing medium weight flavors possess plenty of palate-coating extract that serves to buffer the firm tannic spine on the ever-so-mildly austere finale that delivers excellent persistence despite leaning out somewhat as it sits on the palate.
