2017 Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes
Tasting note: A mildly reduced nose requires a thorough aeration before reveals plenty of floral influence to the generously spiced red berry fruit aromas that are laced with violet and lavender nuances. The fleshy yet nicely precise medium-bodied flavors are nicely rich while flashing a highly seductive mouthfeel before culminating in a firm and dusty finish. As one would reasonably expect at only 4 years of age, this pretty effort is still developing and I would expect it to peak at around age 10. With that said, the fruit is so pretty that this could easily be enjoyed young.
