Château Climens是波爾多Sauternes產區最古老的酒莊之一，擁有跨越幾個世紀的輝煌歷史。酒莊位於Barsac村，和另一家一級酒莊Château Coutet並稱本村最頂尖的「雙胞胎」，在1855年的頂級酒莊分級時，都被列為Sauternes的一級酒莊。
1971年媒體兼波爾多葡萄酒鉅子Lucien Lurton買下本酒莊，他為本酒莊引進了現代化的改革，並制定了高標準的品質要求。1992年他的小女兒Bérénice Lurton小姐開始負責本酒莊的經營管理，她以極大的熱情和決心將Château Climens的珍貴魅力延續下去。
Climens這個字是源自當地方言「貧瘠的地」，但是這樣貧瘠的地卻是受到上天祝福的絕佳葡萄園！其28.3公頃的葡萄園全部圍繞在酒莊周圍，幾百年來一直維持著這樣的規模；葡萄園裡紅色土壤是一層薄薄的含鐵質黏土混合砂子和礫石，覆蓋了富含化石的石灰岩平台，排水性非常良好。自2011年起，旗下的葡萄園全部採行生物動力法種植。Château Climens另一個獨特之處是只使用100 % Semillon釀酒。
高品質要求讓本酒莊的產量極低，年產量約3,000箱，在某些不好的年份甚至不出產。其產品包括一軍酒和二軍酒Cypres de Climens以及一款不甜白酒Asphodele。其酒質特色是典型Barsac酒的均衡優雅風格，甚至被譽為最細緻輕盈的波爾多貴腐甜酒。漂亮的酸度讓它的酒在年輕就非常美味，同時也具有極長的陳年潛力。
The 2013 Climens has a very fragrant bouquet with bunches of white flowers, buttercup, citrus fruits, honey and just a faint hint of oyster shell, all very well defined. There is a cold stone influence here that tempers its exuberance. The palate is very well balanced, spicy in the mouth, beautifully balanced with ginger and nutmeg infusing the honeyed fruit. This is a feisty Barsac, animated and energetic, a little "untamed" in its youth and very long. It is a great Climens that is going to age for many years.
