Tasting note: This is a very ripe '08, in fact it's easily the ripest wine to this point with a liberally spiced nose of blackberries and cassis plus plenty of earth influence that continues onto the serious and exceptionally well-concentrated big-bodied and palate-staining flavors that aren't as refined as those of the Vignerondes but this is certainly a more dramatic effort. That said, qualitatively-speaking, it's not clear that the Boudots is necessarily superior.
