Tasting note: Subtle but not invisible wood frames the spice and menthol-inflected aromas of mostly red currant, plum and floral scents. There is outstanding complexity to the sleek, delicious and focused middle weight plus flavors that exhibit a lovely minerality before culminating in a hugely long and equally complex finale that is exceptionally well-balanced. This altogether lovely effort could easily be enjoyed now but given that it is clearly still on the way up I would suggest allowing it another 7 to 10 years of cellaring first.
