Note: from a .18 ha holding in Clos St. Denis proper and Les Chaffots; 42% whole clusters
Tasting note: A spicier and more elegant nose reflects notes of both red and dark currant along with hints of violet, tea and fennel. There is slightly better volume to the utterly delicious middleweight flavors that also possess very good underlying tension that carries over to the dusty, youthfully austere and more complex finale. This should age well on its balance.
