在波爾多的左岸Margaux產區裡，有三家名字裡有Cantenac的酒莊，其中Chateau Cantenac Brown因為19世紀時曾經被蘇格蘭人John Lewis Brown所擁有而得名。1855年的頂級酒莊分級中，本酒莊被評定為三級酒莊，可見它有相當不錯的實力。
但是在20世紀本酒莊曾經有過很暗淡的歲月，甚至一度是荒廢的！後來它被干邑白蘭地名廠Remy Martin買下，從來1989年又由保險業AXA集團買下，讓它逐漸回復往日榮光。2006年由現在的莊主英國人Simon Halabi購置了這個酒莊，在他的經營下，將本酒莊又再度推上高峰，從酒評家們的評鑑可以清楚看到近年來品質的顯著提升。
48公頃的葡萄園，土壤是典型的砂礫石土，葡萄品種的種植比例是65% Cabernet Sauvignon、30% Merlot、5% Cabernet Franc，平均樹齡35歲；產量控制在每公頃4500公升以提高品質。現在的Cantenac Brown是嚴謹型的Margaux紅酒，雖然不至於很堅硬強勁，但是確實需要幾年的時間來陳年。
91-93+ Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Cantenac Brown slides effortlessly out of the glass with pronounced notes of licorice, tar, tapenade and fertile loam over a core of warm cassis and plum preserves, with a waft of charcuterie. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing, bursting with crunchy black fruit and herbal sparks with a well-managed, grainy texture, finishing long and earthy.
