Bizot Echezeaux 2014
BH Score: 91-94
Tasted: Jan 15, 2016
Drink: 2026+
Issue: 61
Note: from vines situated in En Orveaux planted in 1923, 1947, 1964 and 1979 totaling .56 ha
Tasting note: This isn't quite as floral or elegant as the "1er" but it's even spicier and more complex plus it has both more density and volume on the palate. The medium-bodied and muscular flavors exude a fine bead of minerality on the hugely long finish that exhibits a hint of bitter cherry but I doubt that it will persist for long. Overall, this offers excellent upside development potential.
