Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey是波爾多裡以生產貴腐甜酒著稱的Sauternes產區的頂級酒莊。本酒莊位於Sauternes產區中心精華區的Bommes村，這裡有相當古老的歷史，曾經是羅馬時代的驛站，而且莊園內還留有13世紀的建築遺跡。1618年入主本莊園的Peyraguey家族，成為現在酒莊名一部分的由來；1796年Lafaurie家族接手本莊園，因此本酒莊名稱成為Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey。Lafaurie家族相當用心經營本酒莊、提升其葡萄酒的品質，在19世紀中葉本酒莊的產品價格在Sauternes產區排名第三高，因而1855年的頂級酒莊分級中本酒莊得以名列最優異的一級酒莊。西班牙國王阿豐索七世(Alfonso XII)因為非常喜愛Lafaurie-Peyraguey的酒，曾經花費6000金法郎的驚人高價買了一桶1858年份Lafaurie-Peyraguey！
目前本酒莊的擁有者是來自瑞士的Silvio Denz，他接手後還大手筆投資更新釀造設備。本酒莊的葡萄園位於Bommes村的礫石高地上，是Chateau d’Yquem的隔壁鄰居，這個區域可說是Sauternes產區的精華區了！36公頃的葡萄園種植了93 % Sémillon、6 % Suvignon Blanc 和1 % Muscadelle，平均樹齡40歲，但是園中也保留一些1926年種植的老樹。現在釀造工程是在先進的溫濕度控制的酒窖中進行，然後視年份品質在橡木桶（40 ~ 70 %新桶）中培養18到20個月。在新主人的積極經營下，Lafaurie-Peyraguey的酒的水準已經重回Sauternes產區的前五大，然而其價格並沒有大幅上漲，可說是識貨行家的好選擇！
Tasted at the Sauternes 2006 ten-year on horizontal in Bordeaux. The 2006 Lafaurie Peyraguey has a complex bouquet: honey, white chocolate, quince and dried pineapple scents that billow from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with marmalade and bitter orange on the entry, a fine line of acidity with a harmonious mandarin and grapefruit finish that carries ample botrytis with it. This appears to have improved over the last couple of years, suggesting an upward trajectory in bottle? Worth checking out.

Cropped over 7 tries with 130 grams per liter of residual sugar, the 2007 Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey has a generous bouquet with almond, dried honey, minerals and yellow flowers – a little resinous and almost Barsac-like at first, though developing more botrytized aromas with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a honeyed entry. There is very good weight here: plenty of botrytized fruit, good acidity, lovely notes of mandarin, marmalade, quince and a twist of citrus lemon on the dense and assertive finish. This is a top Lafaurie-Peyraguey that was worth the perseverance during the harvest.
