Maison Roche de Bellene 2011 Corton-Charlemagne
Grand Cru White 750 ml

Tasting note: Initially this opens with what seems to be mildly advanced aromas yet with 30 minutes of air the nose freshens to reveal cool yellow fruit, floral and wet stone scents. There is fine richness to the big-bodied, intense and delicious medium weight plus flavors that display a moderate amount of minerality on the balanced and ever-so-slightly austere finish. This doesn't seem to have its usual focus though I do like the intensity and persistence. It's quite possible that this will harmonize but ever after 24 hours of air it remained somewhat awkward.
