Tasting note: Other than a discreet application of wood, this is aromatically all but mute as the nose is pungently reduced. There is terrific mid-palate density and superb power with knock-out intensity to the large-scaled flavors that deliver strikingly good depth and length on the notably dry finish. As is usually the case with the Latour Montrachet this isn't going to wow you with its sheer size and weight but the length is jaw-droppingly good.
