Tasting note: A super-fresh and distinctly earthy nose is comprised by notes of cassis and dark berry fruit liqueur along with a hint of the sauvage. The dense, serious and mouthcoating flavors possess a beguiling texture thanks to the abundance of dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm tannic spine shaping the strikingly long if decidedly austere finish. This is flat out terrific and it's rare to see villages-level Gevrey at this level.
