2019 Albert Bichot Domaine du Clos Frantin Gevrey Chambertin Village Les Murot
Producer note: This historic 13 ha domaine that owns some very impressive appellations was acquired by the Beaune négociant Albert Bichot in 1969. Note that all of the Clos Frantin vineyards are now organically farmed.
Tasting note: A slightly riper and definitely more sauvage-inflected nose reflected notes of plum, red currant and underbrush. There is fine volume and very good intensity to the attractively textured, even suave, flavors possess solid depth and persistence on the moderately structured finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth.
