Château Haut-Brion是全波爾多產區裡最早成名的頂級酒莊，1533年Jean de Pontac因為婚姻而獲得這片土地，他在這裡建造了高貴的宅第、開設了Haut-Brion葡萄酒莊；這是波爾多第一家以酒莊名做為產品名稱出品的葡萄酒，亦是後來酒莊葡萄酒的原型。Arnaud de Pontac在17世紀率先開始釀製濃郁口感的紅酒，並且以現代精品名牌的行銷方式到英國倫敦開設有史以來最高級的專賣餐廳，建立出國際知名度。它在17、18世紀時都是全波爾多最紅的酒莊，以致於即使它並不位於Medoc產區，但是1855年的頂級酒莊名單中仍破例將它遴選為一級酒莊，其聲譽之卓著可見一斑。
本酒莊的葡萄園位於兩個小圓丘上，其中一處名為 “Bahans”，因而成為其二軍紅酒的最先的名稱Bahans Haut Brion；1976年開始生產，並於2007年份改名為Le Clarence de Haut-Brion以紀念Clarence Dillon買下本酒莊的75週年。釀造方法和一軍酒都一樣，只是新桶使用比例比較少；它被列為波爾多最優異的二軍酒之一，價位水準也相當合理，因此一向相當有人氣。
WA: 91 - 93 Drink: NAThe 2022 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion, the second wine of Château Haut-Brion, is elaborated from a blend of 61.2% Merlot, 21.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Cabernet Franc and 1.5% Petit Verdot. It reveals a bright, fruity bouquet with aromas of dark berries, plums, tobacco, graphite and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless, textural and fleshy with structuring tannins and a fresh, tense finish. It is a very nice way to introduce the great wine of Haut-Brion.
