Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 2007 Echézeaux Grand Cru

Tasting note: A highly expressive, spicy and appealingly complex nose offers up fresh aromas of red berry fruit, floral nuances and soft Asian-style tea notes. The beautifully well-detailed, balanced and energetic flavors possess excellent transparency on the vibrant and mouth coating if slightly spritzy finish. As was the case when I first reviewed this (see herein), there is a lingering inner mouth perfume that serves to make this most attractive and while this isn't a great Echézeaux in the context of the Domaine, it is undeniably pretty. Note that for my taste, this isn't quite at its peak though it's not so far away that it couldn't be enjoyed now. Tasted several times over the past few years with consistent results.
