Château Carbonnieux是Graves產區中，少數幾家紅白酒都被列為頂級酒莊的生產者之一，其產品被認為有很好的C/P值表現。Carbonnieu這個名字來自一個叫“ Carbonius”的家族，他們在13世紀初就在Léognan種植葡萄，是波爾多地區最早的葡萄園之一；之後這裡成為本篤會的產業，直到1519年賣給了貴族Ferron家族，將本莊園經營得聲譽卓越，推上第一個高峰。兩個半世紀後，Carbonnieu莊園又被賣給本篤會修道院，本篤會在此莊園釀製的白酒極為出名，將本酒莊推上第二個高峰，在1776年的文獻記錄Graves地區紅酒最好最有名的是Haut Brion，而白酒就是Carbonnieux了。Carbonnieux當時已經出口到全世界各地，連美國第三任總統湯瑪士．傑佛遜造訪波爾多時都曾慕名來訪，而且據說連向圖曼土耳其的蘇丹也很喜歡喝Carbonnieux白酒。
在法國大革命之後教產充公，Carbonnieux輾轉經過許多主人，直接1956年Marc Perrin買下這座莊園，在他和他的兒子的努力經營下，本酒莊的面積從剛接手時的45公頃逐漸增加目前的95公頃，並且建造了新的酒窖和引進新式釀酒設備。現在已經是Perrin家族的第三代負責經營，第四代的年輕人則負責行銷和釀酒工作。Château Carbonnieux的紅酒葡萄園有50公頃：60 % Cabernet Sauvignon、30 % Merlot、7 % Cabernet Franc和3% Petit Verdot；白酒葡萄園有42公頃：65 % Sauvignon Blanc和35 % Semillon。
本酒莊的紅白酒都被遴選為Graves區頂級酒莊。本酒莊的紅酒固然很優良，但是由於數百年來本酒莊傳統就是白酒比紅酒來得更出名，是波爾多最頂尖的白酒之一。本酒莊的紅白酒在市場上因為高CP值，以及容易搭餐，而深受歡迎。

The 2014 Carbonnieux Rouge has a delightful, clean and pure bouquet with gravel and sous-bois scents neatly interwoven into the blackberry fruit. It feels quite understated, but it gains intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a keen line of acidity that lends this impressive tension and vibrancy. There is not enormous length here, but the sorbet-like freshness wins you over. Keep in the cellar for 2-3 more years and then enjoy over the next 15-18 years.
