This is the highest score I have ever awarded Olivier, whose high quality 2008 offers up plenty of sweet red and black currants interwoven with notions of barbecue smoke and toasty oak. It is a deep, medium to full-bodied wine revealing sweet tannin, excellent concentration, and a layered mouthfeel. Enjoy it over the next 15+ years.
