Château Troplong Mondot 是波爾多Saint-Émilion產區的頂級酒莊，名列Premiers Grands Crus Classes B。它在18世紀時是貴族De Sèze家族的莊園，Troplong Mondot和Pavie和其他一些Saint-Émilion酒莊曾經一度都是De Sèze家族所擁有，而現今Troplong Mondot的古典漂亮的主建築就是De Sèze家族在1745年建造的。一位Raymond Troplong在1850年入主本酒莊，他的姓和地名結合為本酒莊的名字並延用至今，他並且將葡萄園擴充到今日的規模33公項；在Troplong先生的經營下，Troplong Mondot在1868年被評為Saint-Émilion排名第2的頂尖酒莊！
1936年酒莊再度易手到Valette家族，1980年傳承到第四代的莊主Christine Valette，由她和丈夫一起經營至今，加上著名釀酒顧問Michel Rolland的協助，在他們手上將本酒莊再度推升為Saint-Émilion最優異的酒莊之一，並且在2006起成為Premiers Grands Crus Classes B。
Troplong Mondot座落在名為Mondot的小山丘上，緊鄰著Château Pavie和Ausone。在這Saint-Émilion的精華區裡擁有37公頃的葡萄園是很驚人的，土壤是以石灰石、黏土為主，混合一些燧石；種植品種為80% Merlot、10% Cabernet Sauvignon 和 10% Cabernet Franc，有些樹齡高達90幾歲，是酒質得以展現驚人深度的秘密武器。它的酒質帶有獨特的風格，口感濃郁豐富，但是不會過於厚重，常被形容是「享樂型」的美酒。

Tasted blind as a vintage comparison at the Valandraud vertical, the 2006 Troplong-Mondot is deep in color with minimal ageing on the rim. The bouquet is rich and generous with mulberry, Hoi Sin, orange blossom and melted tar aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, generous black pepper and graphite notes cutting through the dense black fruit, leading to an engaging, tensile, graphite and tobacco-driven finish that exerts both body and length. It still has that slight stockiness, but that is something I like. I have always found much to admire in this vintage of Troplong-Mondot and it continues to give so much pleasure.
